Covers historical and contemporary aspects of design including theoretical principles and social, spiritual, functional, and economic perspectives. (HT)

2. Students will be able to distinguish between Coast Salish, Northern Coast, and Northwest Interior tribal designs.
3. Students will practice drawing nine elements of their tribal region.
4. Students will create an original preliminary sketch.
5. Students will make a finished color drawing from the previous drawn preliminary sketch
