HMTS 110 Encounters in Humanities II

Five major areas in the Humanities covered: Poetry, film religion, art history, and world music.  One credit, introductory study in each area will prepare the student for more in-depth study in one or more of these five areas.  (HT)

  1. Demonstrate an intermediate knowledge of the scope of five interrelated humanities disciplines.
  2. Demonstrate critical thinking skills in the five interrelated humanities disciplines through written projects and oral communication activities.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of personal and tribal humanities influences and relate these to other tribal, immigrant, and European influences at the intermediate level.
  4. Identify and utilize local and regional humanities resources and events.
