Concentrates on historical significance and interpretation of art forms, recognizes differences in tribal styles and character representations as well as practical uses of artifacts. (HT)

1. Distinguish between approximately 3 northern region and 2 southern region coastal art styles.
2. Draw, paint and compose a Pacific Northwest Coastal design.
3. Identify objects and associate with their utilitarian usage.
4. Determine the real meaning behind the stories in the videos; contrast Eurocentric versus Native cultures; determine their point of view from their past experiences in life; and determine how other stories are similar to what you have heard.
5. Recognize eight different tribal regions.
